BACKGROUND
Cooperatives have long been part of the Pinoys’ collective action which seeks to promote linkages, competitiveness, and integration.
Eleven percent of adult Filipinos, or a projected 5.6M individuals, are currently members of a cooperative and belong mostly to multi-purpose and credit cooperatives. (Social Weather Station, 2006). Or one out of every 10 Filipino adults are members of a cooperative.
Current numbers (2008) indicate that at least 1 out of 10 Filipinos are members of a cooperative group or 8% out of the total adult population.

RATIONAL
It is in this view that (eMaster Coop.) seeks to make membership in cooperatives not only economically beneficial but also enriching; by providing members with incremental gains through special privileges.
